Principal's Message

Dear Yerba Buena Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! It is truly an honor to serve as the principal of Yerba Buena Elementary and Buttercup Preschool. Whether you are returning to our school or joining us for the first time, I am excited to welcome you to another wonderful year.

This year's theme, Bobcat Nation, reflects our commitment to building a strong, connected school community where every student, family, and staff member feels they belong. Together, we will foster a culture in which every child feels known, valued, challenged, and celebrated as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Yerba Buena, we are committed to providing a strong academic foundation in a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment. Our dedicated team works each day to inspire curiosity, encourage kindness, and help every student discover their unique strengths and reach their full potential. We believe the strongest schools are built through meaningful relationships and strong partnerships with families. I encourage you to stay connected, get involved, and join us as we work together to create memorable experiences and opportunities for every child.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being an important part of our school community. I look forward to a fantastic year of learning, growth, and celebration as we continue building Bobcat Nation together.

Warmly,

Courtney Peoples
Principal
