PFA stands for Parent Faculty Association (just like a PTA)!
Our goal is to raise money to enhance our children's education, and increase communication between parents and faculty. Our association is a team where everyone is a winner!
Our YBPFA raises over $180,000 to supplement your child's education. Without these vital PFA funds, your child would not have:
- Librarian and new library books
- Computer Specialist and supplies
- Music Specialist and concerts
- PE Specialist and equipment
- Reading Aides and classroom supplies
We also organize, support, and promote these wonderful Enrichment activities:
- All Children Talent Series (ACTS)
- After school programs
- Dr. Seuss Night
- Family Fun Nights
- Art Connections
- Humanitarian help and YB Green awareness
- Music Concerts and Storytellers
- Reading Counts and prizes
- Safety programs such as Earthquake supplies, Red Ribbon (say no to drugs) Week, Walk to School Days, etc.
- Symphonic Adventures via the Music Van
- Women in History

The PFA is YOU! Thank you, parents, for your financial support, volunteering, and connecting!
Fundraising: We strive to provide a well rounded education, and specialists cost money. Our district can not pay for all the programs and enrichment your child receives from the PFA. Out of $180,000 raised, 80% goes directly to salaries and supplies for our specialists and aides. Assuming a student population of 450, the cost per child is $411. Please continue to give generously to maintain these programs. Our fundraisers this year are:
- Bobcat Boosters Donation Drive - $300 suggested investment per child.
- Book Fairs
- Earning for Learning, E-Scrip, Schoolpop.com
- Gift Wrap
- Community events such as the Great Race and Reyes Adobe Days.
- Spring Event & Silent Auction
Please support our fundraising efforts! Every dollar spent goes back into our classrooms!
We support our teachers through teacher reimbursements, PART program, and Teacher Appreciation.
Volunteering: "I'd like to do that someday...when I have time." Please MAKE TIME to become an advocate for your child's education before they grow up! Show your child by example what it means to give back to a community. Click here to read about available volunteer opportunities. It makes Yerba Buena a better place to learn and grow when we have wonderful parents volunteering and making a difference at our school! We can't do it alone! We need your help, and your child needs your wonderful example of volunteering! You are welcome to attend our monthly PFA meetings to keep informed and involved! They are usually held in the Multi-Purpose room. Check the calendar on the front page of the website for dates and times.
